Project GROW
Project GROW began in 2023, and is a community garden project overseen by the Barrington Recreation Department. Supported and maintained by dedicated volunteers, and youth in our programs. All food grown in the garden is donated to the Barrington Community Food Pantry.
For the 2024 growing season, we will grow a variety of vegetables and herbs. We are able to expand the garden this year due to a generous donation of tires (which are great to use in gardens!), and monetary donations, with the hopes to yield more produce to provide the food pantry for our community.
Project GROW also has a pollinator garden, which was started with seeds donated by the Barrington Bloomers that they received through a grant. Thank you to the Bloomers for their thoughtful contribution!
