Absentee Ballots
If you are a registered voter and unable to vote in person you may request an absentee ballot from the Town Clerk's Office, PO BOX 660 physical address is 4 Signature Drive. Voters choosing to vote by absentee ballot must sign a request form before obtaining a ballot and provide identity verification(see below for clarification).
Application requirements: Starting in 2025, a new voter law requires extra identity verification for all absentee ballot applications. Applicants must meet this requirement using one (1) of the following options:
- Providing a copy of their photo ID OR
- Personally presenting a photo ID to the city or town clerk OR
- Having their signature on the application notarized.
Other notable changes
Application acceptance window: Town Clerks can only accept absentee ballot applications postmarked or received within six months of the election date.
Upon receipt of the signed request and identity verification, an absentee ballot will be only given to the absentee voter listed on the request or mailed (RSA 657:15) to the voter.
Once the ballot is completed, the voter must personally deliver or mail the ballot (RSA 657:17) to the Town Clerk's office during our office hours which are as follows:
- Monday, Tuesday, & Thursdays: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Wednesday: 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm
