Employment Opportunity - Deputy Building Inspector

The Town of Barrington, NH (9,049) Building Department is seeking an energetic and dedicated person for the position of  part time Deputy Building and Code Inspector. Barrington is a 50-sq. mi. community with 80 miles of roads to maintain. Assists with enforcing the Zoning Ordinance, Subdivision Regulations, NH State Fire, Building, Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical, Energy, Accessibility Codes, and all land use ordinances. Inspects construction throughout the Town to ensure the safety of life and property and compliance with New Hampshire adopted codes and Town adopted codes, and Town Zoning Ordinances. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license. This is a part time 20-hour, hourly, non-exempt (eligible for overtime) position with a starting at $24.94-26.20 per hour. Wage rate is dependent on knowledge and experience. This position is eligible for paid time off and holidays.
