Dog Licenses
All dogs are to be licensed in New Hampshire by April 30th of every year per RSA 466:1
Regardless of when the license is obtained, it shall be effective May 1st of each year to April 30th
of the subsequent year.
You may license your dog with the following paperwork:
- Current rabies vaccination certificate
- Spaying/neutering certificate
Residents may mail copies of certificates along with a check made out to: Barrington Town Clerk.

What are the fees for licensing my dog? | |

Dogs of Senior Citizens (Defined as an owner who is 65+ years old) Only applies to the 1st dog | $3.00 |
“Kennel” License for 5 or More Dogs | $20.00 |
Fines
- There is a fine of $32.00 per dog Civil Forfeiture fine ($25.00 Civil Forfeiture and $7.00 service fee) that will be issued by the Barrington Police Department, to any unlicensed dog(s) in addition to original licensing fees and late fees.
- As of June 1st, every year any unlicensed dog(s) will be charged a $1/month/dog.
