The Barrington Community Food Pantry was formed in 1993 when the food pantries of the Town's Churches and Organizations were merged into one collaborative effort. The purpose was to improve service to the community's residents in need of assistance and consolidate the number of places they needed to reach out to for assistance. We distribute food and personal care products weekly and provide Holiday Baskets at Thanksgiving and Christmas including presents.
The Pantry is located at 105 Ramsdell Lane, in the same building as the Library and the Recreation Department. The pantry is open for distribution on Thursday evenings from 6pm-7:30pm.
The Pantry is supported by the Town, the Town's Churches, Schools, area organizations and individuals. All of our workers are VOLUNTEERS with the desire to assist our friends and neighbors whenever we can. We are a registered public charity with the Internal Revenue Service thus all contributions are tax deductible and our ID number is 27-0896389.
We receive food from the following sources; donations from food drives, Federal Surplus food, the NH Food Bank, donations, and food purchased from monetary donations. To make a donation:
